A destination wedding is more than a single day.For international couples choosing France for their wedding, it is often an opportunity to bring families and friends together from different parts of the world and create an experience that unfolds over several days.For this Chinese-American couple, Domaine de Primard became the meeting point between two cultures.Guests travelled to France to celebrate a wedding weekend combining the couple’s international story with the timeless elegance of the French countryside.Our approach to the floral design was therefore not simply to decorate individual spaces.We wanted to create a visual language capable of accompanying the entire celebration.Flowers, colours, proportions and textures were considered in relation to the architecture, gardens and atmosphere of Primard  while allowing each event to have its own identity.

Welcome Dinner at Domaine de Primard

The celebrations began with a welcome dinner at Domaine de Primard, bringing the couple’s guests together before the wedding day.For a destination wedding in France, the welcome dinner plays an important role. It is the first moment when everyone gathers in the same place and often sets the tone for the celebrations ahead.The floral design was conceived to complement this more intimate and relaxed atmosphere while introducing the visual universe of the wedding.Rather than treating the welcome dinner as a separate event, we approached it as the first chapter of the wedding weekend.The setting, tables and flowers created an immediate sense of place: guests had arrived in France, at Primard, and the celebration had begun.

The following day, the couple celebrated their symbolic wedding ceremony at Domaine de Primard.Surrounded by the natural beauty of the estate, the ceremony allowed us to create floral design in direct dialogue with the landscape.At Maison Kahina Paris, we believe that wedding flowers should never compete with an exceptional venue.They should belong to it.For every destination wedding in France, we begin by studying the location: its architecture, proportions, colours, existing landscape and light.At Domaine de Primard, nature is already an essential part of the experience.The floral direction was therefore designed to enhance the setting while creating a distinctive frame for one of the most important moments of the wedding.

The following morning, guests gathered once again for a post-wedding brunch.After the intensity and emotion of the wedding day, brunch creates a completely different atmosphere: relaxed, intimate and effortless.For a multi-day destination wedding, we believe these transitions are important.The floral direction can become lighter and more spontaneous while still retaining elements of the visual identity created throughout the weekend.It was the final chapter of three days of celebrations at Domaine de Primard and a beautiful way for the couple to spend more time with the friends and family who had travelled to France for their wedding.
